Your problem is likely due to options.txt in the Mc folder file having a render distance set really high (because of 1.8). From what I read, “Mc doesn’t validate that the render distance is a supported value before trying to use it (apparently).” -Source
Deleting the options.txt file is the fix for this crash for most people who experience it.”

Please tell us if it works, I have been seeing this problem often
To RR FM, this MC crash happens very frequently since 1.8 please try to identify it and guide people (to delete the options.txt file when the render crashes).Another way to fix it: Before entering a world, go into the option menu and fix the render distance slider (witch should be out of the actual range), then it works.
