    I was on rodol’s server and was about to detonate a theo nuke when the server suddenly crashed. It crashed just as I was placing a chip in the nuke. But I used an actual “chip” without my name or team on it. It was pulled straight from creative mode and loaded into the nuke with a hopper.  I replicated this in singleplayer and it also caused the game to crash.

    Isn’t it maybe cause of how powerful theo or the beast is?

    Afaik the chips are used to identify players to prevent self nuking so probably the chips bugged out.

    Orchface can what are your PC specs to check(Windows):    Check to see if any other mods are interfering with RR verW.

    Right click My computer(this PC if windows 10)

    Hit properties

    Mac I think the same thing or go back to the Apple store.

    Also good to know your Network speed.

    To Rodol: Could you build a minimum and recommended System requirements on the Rival rebels Download page, because that would be pretty useful.

    Specs don’t matter in that sense, Titancon. It’s a simple NBT problem I’ve encountered endless times before, it’s when the chip’s NBT tag compund isn’t set (without a check for null, trying to get the NBT will crash the game) and normally you can’t get a chip without NBT tags as the one you get from the round will always have them.

    Titancon, my computer is fine; RR is the only mod I have installed at the moment. This is definitely a problem with the mod. Tried it on both my Mac and my PC and get the same bug. The log says NullPointerException. Probably the Chip by itself isn’t recognized as an instantiated object. Might look through rodol’s code later on.

    In other words the chip has to have someone assigned to it, or else it will be a “null” and the thing running it will not know what to do and it will crash. (the most simplest way i could put it)

    How did you get the chip? I’ve blown up countless Theos without starting the round system, the chip works fine. If you spawn in the chip it crashes because it has no data, grab it from the creative inventory or craft it or receive it from the rounds system.

    I opened the creative menu and dropped it straight into the hopper. I never put it into my hotbar or inventory.

    You probably need to put it into your hotbar to fill the chip so its value will not be null but will have your data.

    You could initialize the NBT with the item lore method, the moment you hover over it it has NBT.

    I detonated the thing 3 times, and only once it successfully it made the full crater. the other two times, it just left a big hole shaped like a square and not an ellipse. Does it have to do with my computing power?

    When you get away from the explosion too far, the control object unloads and stops the explosion process. Just try to stay as close to the bomb as possible.

    I do. I stay in the middle of the mushroom cloud(i’m in creative) and after the cloud disappears it’s still a squareish hole.
