Ok, everything is looking great. I’m planning to make the first alpha release next week, this includes setting up the Game Server and making the Funder Editions available on the RR Store.

Please keep in mind that this will be an UNFINISHED and UNTESTED release. Neither the game server, network, multiplayer, or the Store have been fully tested. (you guys will be the first!) For this reason WE ARE GOING TO DO IT IN WAVES, first come first serve, to slowly increase the number of players and prevent bottlenecks and a bad experiences for all.
Also, I’m not advertising or promoting this release! I’ll do that when everything is “vanadium carbide” solid.
This means that I’m going to make X funder editions available on the store’s stock. For you guys to BUY or, in the case you are a ranked member that earned a Funder Edition, to REDEEM.

To be clear, this week I will open the store to everyone, offering a limited quantity of Funder Editions. Anyone will be able to buy or redeem the editions, until the stock runs out. Nobody has any editions yet.

Max, I just want to be sure that you know that this is a closed alpha release, meaning that most features listed on the Game Edition are unfinished, incomplete, or not ready yet (you can tell by the competition % column). I’m also very hyped about the first release, but I don’t want you to get disappointed, because the Overlord special features are not ready yet.

Rodol I have a tad of a technical question , personally I only really use Linux but would like to take part in the first wave , I have a question , is the anticheat already baked into the game? I am asking due to the fact that I considered using proton/WINE and there were reports of them having issues with /breaking anticheats and I also would  like to ask whether using a compatibility layer is against rule no. 21 “You will not directly or indirectly disable, circumvent, or otherwise interfere with the operation of software designed to prevent or report the use of Cheats.”  if it is indeed against the rules I will simply quickly install windows , but I just wanted to ask .For the record I have no intention of cheating I just wanted to find a solution till the linux edition is out.

Hey, I really recommend a dual booting partition, the game size is only 95mb. I have no idea how the game performance will be impacted by running it thru wine. Also, anti-cheating is not an issue in that case or with the TOS. It’s really a shame I can not release the Linux version due to a major flaw in the game engine.

Speaking of account security. Have you considered adding 2 factor authentication as an optional thing? I would mean with codes sent by text or email. Just incase someone somehow gets your password.
