Hey, I cannot predict the future, but when Microsoft bought Mc I forsaw that things were gonna get worse for the modding community.
What Happened?
Well, they are slowly but certainly moving away from Java, (cause they do not own it) and the collateral damage is the Forge-Modding java based community.

So yeah, look at this, I took this pic from the MCF mod list two weeks ago.

you can tell that the number of mods in recent versions is taking a toll…

Yeah… I’m sorry rodol that this happened. And 1.10 is out and 1.11 shouldn’t take more then a few months. What are we going to do?

Solution 1: I think we should put all our work into the main game and occasionally work on the Mod because everyones going to want to see the new game and play it.

Solution 2: frikken Microsoft buy java for 2 billion cause your rich as crap

lol, pretty much I chose solution one a year ago :/

Anyway Coolguy65565 took the 1.9 porting project more than a months ago but I have no news from him.

Last time I ported from 1.6.4 to 1.7  the mod had 50,000 errors

This actual porting is almost a rewrite… without even talking about 1.9.2,3,4..whatever mojangsoft pleases to do…

:( this sucks i love the mod but microsoft clearly hates modders so what can we do? I say we have a hitman seek out the owner of microsoft and tell him to change it back to support java completely again or he gets whats coming to him.>:) Jk though that probably wont work anyways though

I think i have a solution that just might work,

We must join with the other servers makers, modders, map makers, youtubers, and make a very BIG MOVEMENT, they are ruining one of the best games that probably will keep being great in 20 years! we cant just keep quiet and let this people ruin what we have been working!

And yes, probably we all are going to buy all this programs to make the mod keep going

Please, don’t get me wrong, you don’t need to get angry at people, even Notch has been ranting because of the hate he is receiving, but that does not do any good, it is just a waste of energy. Big Youtubers are all on board, if you check their content the big majority are phasing out mods, they just play command blocks, maps, resource packs and the story mode where they are featured as characters…

IDK, as I stated at the top, I can not predict the future. Maybe they make an new API at some point, anyway 1.7.10 works fine.

When George Lucas sold Star Wars to disney I felt he screwed up, and then he got remorse, but anyway the new movie came out excellent, and JJ Abrams is my favorite director. Sometimes good things comes out after wrong decisions.

But MS will always push MC toward the xbox, VR, surface market.
