    Those are good questions. “The nuke mod” name is lame and debasing. It oversimplifies what RR really is. Anyway I’m very aware that my audience likes nukes, and explosive things in general, but it would be lame on my part to think that nukes are the only thing they like. So RR DMD will be way more than that. You guys know I love math, so expect a game where all the GUIs feature real data, real equations, not just pretty cosmetics. A game where formulas and algorithms run the show. Where players can go as deep as they want to modify stuff, but action is still king.

    Yeah, it will be nukes in an MMO. I designed a pretty clever way to do it without breaking the gameplay. :D

    Can I survive a nuclear blast in the Full game if I am slightly in the blast range unlike in the mod when I get sucked up into the blast instead of turning into charcoal?

    100% sure damage falloff is possible, even in the mod. I have the feeling rodol consciously made it so because a nuke would almost always be placed near the objective, meaning the attacked side would receive a game over along with all players in the base dying. RR nukes are a short but immense splash-damage source that throws you around until you’re certainly dead, having a middleground here wouldn’t really make that much more sense. It would add to realism, yes, but this is a mod where you take two crates full of tools and medicine, stack them on top of each other, hit them with a pair of pliers to turn it into a high-power miniature fusion reactor that miraculously fuses uranium.

    That kills the immersion level so I think it would be better to remake the nukes.

    Lol, great description HB. You are correct, many of the decisions I made for the mod were to circumvent limitations, in terms of performance and serious bugs in MC.
    Also, to clarify Titan’s perspective, not one bit of the code from the mod will make it to the RR DMD game, nor is it even possible to be used in the game.

    What I kept are my art concepts, game logic and barely some primitive 3d models.
    But MC or not nobody can escape game design basics. Developing a game is always a trade off between realism and playability. Or high resolution vs performance. Arcading vs scientific simulation…

    So I was playing some Daggerfall then Crysis and I was wondering how well have you been while using Unity and if you have found any texture or physics issues in the game so far, if so can you share some of your current bugs or crashes. (The hole in the wall is in every 3d game ever.)

    One thing I’d love to know, since the game has voxel terrain, how will the destruction of terrain work? I thought of this because I’ve been reworking my explosion algorithms (which I lovingly dub “the mk4”, sorry, but i have to thow out the code you gifted me three years ago :P )

    @Titan, yes I report bugs to Unity very often, 11 reports so far. I’m still waiting for one in particular to be fixed because it compromises my work (six months without a fix already)

    @HB, no, I discarded the voxel terrain for now, I came up with something better ;) including destruction. I’d love to see your new algorithm, btw.

    Good question, distributing the mod I learned my lesson. Big MC sites and big youtubers were re uploading, taking credit for it and monetizing my mod, or redirecting people to bad places to get ad clicks. Others where using my code without permission. Not everybody, but yeah a lot of bad players.
    This time it will be different, the RR DMD game is an MMO, so you need to join the servers to play. There are different servers computing different aspects of the game, and the client copy does not run by itself. Also, the code is obfuscated and all the assets are encrypted.
    Thats another reason why making the game is taking me longer to finish…

    @HB, yes, buildings, stuff and something else entirely……….
    @Michal the RR DMD game will have different graphic settings to get the best out of your hardware, from regular laptops to high-end gaming rigs. Mac, Win, Linux and later Xbox and PS4. (consoles are last because I need special registration with Microsoft and Sony)

    I’m pretty sure that’s the new plasma cannon model…the center piece doesn’t look like technology anymore, but rather like some kind of charged crystal, I absolutely love it.

    On Thursday for the vlog channel and Friday for the main channel. I tried to finish it for last week but a ton of glitches showed up during the DMD multiplayer test. :/ I guess that is the idea for multiplayer tests. But yeah, twin vids are almost ready, featuring the plasma cannon.

    PD? Police Department? or Parkinson’s? :) Its not view bobbing, its the legit body running, using mocap data and IK. In first person the camera is the head… I will have an option for low end machines to turn off the whole body in first person.
