The Tech Hangar pre-orders mean that the Player Editions will only be available after all the features are completed, in contrast with the Funder Editions which grant early access.

The additional Tech Hangar Editions given to some members are meant to be given to friends/family as a gift, (selling them is against the TOS and EULA).

wait Rodol how will the upgrades work. for normal people will upgrades be the price difference plus 2 dollars and for Ranked officers it is 50% of the difference or is it the same for everyone

@Sour, yes that is exactly correct. All ranked members get 50% off on purchases of Funder editions, or upgrades to Funder editions. This includes upgrades from Player Editions to Funder Editions. And yes, the upgrade price is the price difference + $2 for transaction fees.

Funder Editions are intended to crowdfund the development of the game.

@Luke Thank you! @R080 Rank members get 50% discount on any Funder Edition or upgrade. People who are not Ranked but are a member with ID < 2710 get the 15% discount on FEs. There is no way to add the discounts up. @Sour yes, the upgrade system will let you skip to purchase any edition above the one you already own.

Does creating a faction in the game require a purchase or is that a free-for-all feature?

The in game creation of a Faction will only require a certain amount of Rep to be spent by one or more players. Then, others can join, depending on the Rep & Credit requirements that the Faction has specified. All collected Rep & Credits from members goes to the Faction Rep & Credits pool. Once a faction has enough Rep, it can use Credits from the Faction Pool to purchase Faction-owned stuff like the TAT. You can only be member of one Faction at a time. To join a different Faction, you must leave your current one and change alliance. Factions are dissolved if all founders change alliance.

The in game creation of a Guild will only require a certain amount of Credits and Rep to be spent by four or more players. Then, others can join, depending on the Credits requirements that the Guild has specified. All collected Credits from new members goes to the Guild Credit pool. Guilds distribute Rep to their members. You can be member of several Guilds at the same time, but you can only be a founder of one Guild. Guilds can be dissolved if the founders leave, or it loses too much Rep.

This is all subject to change until I actually set up the algorithms that will control the mechanics of all this. To be clear, neither Factions nor Guilds use real world money for anything, they are purely virtual and in-game, part of the RPG.

I’ll say two weeks again. Two important things are happening: -1 the software certificates (for Win and Mac) are taking more time than I originally thought but its not under my direct control and we need it. 2- I added the squadron scene (map), where you start, added the dev scene for the funders and I’m finally working on the player dying system. So I mean, while I’m waiting for the legalities I’m adding really important stuff to the alpha. So two weeks again.
