I did //fill stone 100 and the server lagged out…
Most Bukkit servers can easily handle that

June 3, 2017 at 11:15 pm #16325well world edit lags because of the fact that a large amount of blocks have been altered at the time this is very heavy on the RAM and I beleve these servers you are refering to are using hosting and are not home owned and hosted servers tend to have alot of RAM and other things this makes them higher quality thus making people want to rent them and pay for the hosting it would cost a lot of money to have this kind of quality at home so hosting it would just be cheaper these companies pay for the high quality internet speed and RAM and other things with the money earned from hosting and rodol’s server is not using hosting it is home owned and home owned servers tend to have around 3 to 4 gigabytes of ram available hosted servers can have far more than that like 10 or 20 or even 64 maybe even more but the point is I know bukkit is a plug-in but most home computers can’t handle //fill stone 100 because that’s the radius of the object created the number of blocks was way higher than that the number of blocks filled is actually 23653 which is just too big for a home computer to handle without lag unless it’s really good like computers that host servers this is a very simplified answer to keep the amout of test small but if you want me to go into more detail let me know

June 4, 2017 at 5:17 am #16329forge worldedit doesn’t get as much support
most likely crappier optimisation and just lags
thanks unamix for stating the painfully obvious also rodol’s pc does not have 3-4 megabytes of ram that’s nothing 64 megabytes of ram is nothing it’s gigabytes
have a nice day

Anonymousマ 0Reputation⎔ 0Credits0 postsWhy does wordedit causes so much lag?
Cause rodol is too poor to get enough RAM to keep up a shitty server :v
June 13, 2017 at 3:03 pm #16589Because of how each block is placed one by one, most other tasks halt until the area is filled, i.e. the server freezes. Rodol has a pretty good computer, it’s just that forge’s world edit is so poorly optimized.
